![]() He revenge wouldn't have been for love of daddy, it would have been for blood lust, for the loss of his wealth and position (daddy dies, bye-bye papal guard commander position). QOTD - If Ezio had killed Rodrigo, I can see this same scene playing out anyway. Cesere's men were killing machines, and no one was innocent to them. Just a quick aside, the "Brotherhood" book was so much more graphic than the game when it came to the destruction on Monteriggioni. In just a few minutes we find out he's a crazy man who has stolen or beloved Leo, captured our bedfellow Caterina, destroyed or city, and is a total asshat for killing Mario (that hurts). Man, there is no better introduction to a villain than this guy. It is in ruin thanks to the man who everyone loves to hate, Cesare. It is the peace and beauty, the sanctuary. As I mentioned yesterday, this is my favorite city. The escape was awesome and then.oh no, Ubisoft, no! They put Mario Spoilered in case no one noticed that before. Mario was there for Ezio, just a he had been when Ezio went to fight Rodrigo the first time. The first time I played it was so cool to the see the game pick up right where AC2 left off. Yesterday, as I proudly walked away from the console, i announced to my husband that AC2 was done. (In memory of Uncle Mario, I've called my horse Luigi) It wouldn't have been good having god like Altair powers from the very start of the game. He leaves for Rome with just the shirt on his back and an old sword he found laying around during the villa fight. And he's more ruthless here than I remember from the TV adaptation of the character.Īs much as the destruction of Monteriggioni upsets me, I do like how it is used to get Ezio naked, so to speak. After the protracted tutorial sequences in both the previous games, I like the fact the we can just get on with it here.Īnd of course, now we get the perfect introduction to another very important and major character - Cesare. You need to have played the last game to know how to play this one. Not remembering what comes next, it feels at this point as if the developers are throwing us in at the deep end. ![]() Escaping Rome I'm pleased to see that all the moves, abilities, everything from the last game works exactly the same way. I'm standing in the exact spot the last game left me wearing the Altiar Armour I was wearing at the end of the last game. ![]() If we have to have a modern day story, which after the last two games is kinda unavoidable now, then so far this is ticking the right boxes for me. They've escaped the warehouse and are trying to hide setting up camp in an abandoned building. On a minor plus side I suppose, Shaun, Lucy, Desmond, and the other one with the headphones obviously not listening to anything, have the villa as a base this time.Īlso, at this point, future story is mildly interesting. My beautiful, beautiful villa that I just spent an entire game renovating. Even knowing this was coming didn't soften the blow. ![]()
